1 Day EFAW Emergency First Aid at Work

The Emergency First Aid at Work course is a 1-day course that covers most emergencies that could possible occur in the workplace.
The Course Duration is 6 Hours  ( 1 Day)

The Course criteria:

  • Understand the role and responsibilities of the first aider
  • Be able to assess an emergency situation safely
  • Be able to place AED pads correctly
  • Be able to provide first aid for a casualty who is unresponsive and breathing normally
  • Be able to provide first aid for a casualty who is unresponsive and not breathing normally
  • Be able to provide first aid for a casualty who is suffering a seizure
  • Understand how to provide first aid to a casualty who is suffering from shock
  • Be able to provide first aid to a casualty with external bleeding

2 Day Level 3 Award Re Qualification Course

The First Aid at Work Re-qualification course re-validates the First Aid at Work certificate you will already hold for a further three years.
This qualification (FAW) is the re-qualification of the First Aid at Work course its syllabus originates from the HSE Guidance

LEVEL 3 (3 Day FAW) First Aid at Work

3 Day First Aid at Work qualification (FAW) this is valid for a period of three years. The course includes scenario of First Aid incidents and gives the learner with the skills they need to take control of a First Aid accident or Incident in the work Place.

Duration of course 18 Hours (3 Day)

First Day

  • Understand the role and responsibilities of the first aider

1 Day Paediatric First Aid

The Pediatric course Meets standards required by OFSTED, EYFS and Childcare Registration requirements and is legally required training.

This course is for people working with young children and those working towards an Early Years educator qualification.

New legislation from the Department of Education requires all newly qualified level two and three childcarers to have either an emergency Paediatric first aid or full Paediatric First Aid certificate. The new legislation comes into effect from the 3rd April 2017.

It remains a legal requirement for at least one person with a valid full 12-hour paediatric first aid certificate to be available at all times within a professional child care establishment.

This includes cover for sickness and annual leave and to accompany children on trips or excursion

Qualification: Regulated 3 Year Level 3/6 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid EPFA / Unregulated 3 Year

Course Duration: 6 Hours

AED ½ Day 3hrs

Course Overview
AED and CPR training allows delegates to react effectively and efficiently to cardiac arrests in the workplace.

Why take this course?
Unfortunately, a cardiac arrest can occur when we least expect it. When this happens, reacting effectively is critical. CPR and AED’s are crucial in saving a life.
This course will give delegates the confidence to perform CPR and utilise an AED if someone has a cardiac arrest. By having this training, employees can become familiar with how to work an AED and basic life support to increase the chain of survival. Providing this knowledge will protect and help meet the duty of care responsibilities to pupils, staff and visitors.

Who can attend?
This course is for anyone interested in developing emergency first aid skills. Delegates do not need previous experience in first aid. However, the Health and Safety Executive recommend attending this course in addition to our Emergency First Aid at Work training for comprehensive understanding of reacting effectively in emergency situations.

Course Overview

Designed for learners who participate in any level of manual handling in the workplace or in their day to day lives. This qualification covers how to move and handle objects in a safe way and minimise the risk of injury to yourself and others when undertaking manual tasks.

Fire Safety Level 2

Fire Safety within a workplace is an essential legal requirement. The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (FSO) requires the responsible person to appoint and provide adequate training for one or more ‘competent persons’ to assist with fire safety in the workplace.

You will, no doubt, be well aware of the potentially devastating effects of fires in the workplace in terms of lives lost, injuries, damage to property and the environment, and to business continuity. You may also be aware that it is believed that most fires are preventable.

The importance of fire awareness and safety in the workplace is underpinned by health and safety legislation that places a duty on employers to establish policies and procedures and ensure their employees receive appropriate training. This course is designed for employees who want to develop their basic fire safety.

This course is designed for employees who want to develop their basic fire safety awareness to assist their employer by undertaking more specific fire safety roles in the workplace to manage fire risk (e.g. as fire wardens/marshals/stewards etc.)

Course Overview

The Level 2 Award in Food Safety provides learners with the opportunity to develop skills, knowledge and understanding of the importance of good personal and workplace hygiene.

It allows learners to take responsibility for food safety in a work environment. They will also understand how to keep food safe from contamination.
